It’s eleven days into the new year, and shockingly I have put the correct year on every check I’ve written. However, in the modern economy there isn’t much need for writing checks, so I’ve accomplished this feat a whopping three times. Regardless I’ll take that as a win. Many years it’s well into February before I’ve remembered what year it is.
So with 2016 in full swing, it seemed like a good time to share what’s new for PeKu. Of course, if you’re a regular reader, you’ve already seen the changes. We’ve refined (AKA reduced) our publishing to three topics. As an optimist, I truly do consider it to be refining. We’ve figured out who our audience is and what they want to read.
PeKu’s audience consists of mainly female readers who are interested in home-based topics: family, festivities, and food. Maybe our audience has aligned in this manner because these also are our strongest areas of knowledge. Our team is comprised of people who are passionate about these topics and provide wonderful original articles for Holidays Helper, Your Parenting Info, and Think Tasty.
With a smaller amount of content to provide, we are zeroing in on each publication with an editorial calendar that delivers laser-precise themes. Each week on each publication the weekly topic will be covered from various perspectives or categories. If there is a topic you want to see, please leave a note in the comments. We are open to ideas!
At PeKu our goals are simple. Inspire. Inform. Engage. In 2016, as much as ever, we aim to be your source for parenting, holiday, and cooking inspiration, information, and engagement.
