Last week I attended a local start-up event. Visiting all of the competitors’ booths to learn more about their companies and concepts, I was intrigued by the diverse range of businesses in the competition. From an app that assists renovators with compliance to a creator of ultraviolet camouflage to a website that assists with bridal planning, there was innovation throughout the event.
Spending the evening learning more about these companies reminded me of two important aspects that relate to Wasabi Media Group. First, everyone has their own specific interests, which inspire them. Each of the participants displayed passion and knowledge about his or her products. While some may have been more appealing to me than others, there was an audience for each start-up. Second, passion is what fuels great work. These entrepreneurs eagerly and excitedly talked about what made their concepts unique and marketable.
As the founder of Wasabi Media Group, I understand that our readers have individual interests and preferences, which is why we have twenty-four niche properties. Many times I have been asked why we don’t shrink the number of sites, but I feel that by covering more subjects we do a better job of providing resources for our readers. As for passion, I see it on a daily basis, both in the articles that our columnists write and the comments that our readers submit.
For a sample of our variety, take a peek at these articles:
- Appliance shopping – Read this article before you talk to a salesperson.
- Indie Soap Awards – Sure, everyone covers the Emmys, but who else covers these awards?
- Quick humor – Even if you only have 30 seconds, this post is sure to make you laugh.
As always, Wasabi Media Group strives to engage your mind and feed your passion.
