Cuddle Up with a Warm Laptop

That’s probably what I should have done all weekend long, as it was so cold here in New England.  Instead my husband and I made a trip to a winter farmer’s market on Saturday.  It was worth the almost hour drive, as we found new sources for great food, such as elk pâté and quail eggs.  After shopping there, we decided to explore the quaint downtown area.  While we discovered a number of fun shops, it was ridiculously cold walking from store to store.

Returning home with our treasures, we were quick to start our fireplace and adorn warm sweatshirts and fuzzy socks.  It was the perfect way to spend the evening, watching the New England Patriots trounce Denver while nibbling on some locally sourced brie.

As this weather isn’t a fluke and is merely a staple of winter, it was a strong reminder to bundle up when heading outdoors or to stay inside.  Although I despise the cold, I find a mix of getting out and lounging near the fireplace make for a good combination.

To help you plan your chilly weekends in the future, consider some of these options:

  • Ever give ice climbing a try?  Outdoors Eagle will be publishing an article on this made-for-winter sport.
  • You could find an indoor activity that is outside your home.  Read a review or two at Flick Rev to find the perfect in-theatre movie for you.
  • If you don’t even want to leave the house, we have the solution for that also.  Cuddle up with your laptop and read the latest articles throughout the WMG properties.

Whatever you do, be sure to keep our publications handy.  We’d love to inspire you!
