I usually publish the month’s highlights on the first Monday of the month. However, on the seventh of September I wasn’t quite ready to share our news. All of the changes had been put in place behind the scenes, but they weren’t visible to our readers yet. I decided it would be better to delay this column until things were fully up and running.

Now that the changes have been made public, what are some of the new additions?

• We are refining our editorial calendar.
• We have added videos full of wedding inspiration to Here Comes a Bride.
• We have added educational cooking slideshows to Think Tasty.
• We are adding more connections between our publications, such as highlighting crafts from Holidays Helper on Your Parenting Info.

Not mentioned in the abbreviated list is that we also made some subtractions. In order to focus better on those projects and more, we have decided to downsize from a family of eleven publications to six. These decisions are never easy, but this one feels like it will help us grow.

Although we did cease publishing on those five websites, don’t fret too much. We have kept all of our publications live. What does that mean? It means that if you have a favorite cocktail recipe on Parched No More or liked a remodeling suggestion on ‘Bout Home, you still can access those articles. While we aren’t publishing new content, we’re still proud of all we’ve done and have left it to be enjoyed.

Although the scope of PeKu has been reduced, the content will become even heartier. Look for new article series, interviews with experts, and more video content. We look forward to being an even better resource for our audience.
