PeKu Highlights- October 2015

by Michele Pesula Kuegler on October 5th, 2015

EY_October-Highlights_500x300This month I am back on schedule with my editorial highlights column. With three weeks of publishing (using our new schedule) under our belts, things are going smoothly. One of the best things from this change has been the increase in time I have to focus on individual sites. It reminds me of my days as a teacher. Although I loved working with the class as a whole, it was nice to be able to work in small groups and focus on three or four students instead of twenty-three or twenty-four. With only six publications, I can think about more intimate details of each.

This month we have a few projects under way:

  • Redesigning our homepages– To give our readers a quick peek at our content, our homepage is filled with more images, instead of text. An article title and image will give a simple preview of what to expect.
  • Reorganizing our newsletters– Rather than sending all of the articles from the previous week, we are choosing the readers’ favorites. Have you signed up for the newsletter from your favorite publication? There’s no better time than the present to subscribe. Click here!
  • New sources– Here Comes a Bride has been working with wedding dress designers and bakeries to get the scoop on the latest trends in style and food. Be sure to check back weekly for more insight.

As fall gets fully under way in New Hampshire, we are seeing the colors of fall and feeling the chill of winter approaching. What better time is there to curl up on your coach with a laptop or tablet and enjoy some original PeKu content?
