March Ideas

by Michele Pesula Kuegler on March 4th, 2013

In New Hampshire, March came in like a lamb.  Although it was in the 40s and overcast with occasional flurries on Friday, that really is a decent day for the end of winter.  We didn’t have measurable snow, and the temperature was above freezing.  While it is a day that still requires a buttoned-up coat, the weather could be much more miserable.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that March leaves the same way that it entered.

This March is filled with a number of fun events and holidays.  Here’s what exciting to us at PKP:

Pi Day– For those of with an appreciation of math, March 14 (AKA 3.14) is a day to recognize this mathematical constant.  Whether you solve a few math problems or enjoy a snack of pie, it’s a good way to infuse some fun on a Thursday.

St. Patrick’s Day– Everyone has a little Irish to them on this day.  Throw a dinner party at home or at least add some green food coloring to one part of your meal.

First Day of Spring– March 20th heralds the coming of warm weather.  What better way is there to embrace the change of seasons than with a little shopping?  A new shirt or pair of shoes for spring is sure to perk up your wardrobe and transition from corduroys to capris.

I’m sure there are many other things to celebrate this month.  Feel free to share your events in the comments.  And don’t forget to turn to our Style Section for advice and suggestions for all of your fashion and fun needs.
