Inspire. Inform. Engage. Those are three goals of PeKu Publications. Reviewing the work of our writers, I feel that their articles do all three, though I always am striving to increase the amount that our readers engage with us.
Sometimes an article isn’t enough to spark that engagement. Then we turn to social media to develop stronger relationships with our readers. We have built a presence on many social media sites, some with bigger followings than others.
Our newest adventures into social media can be found at Instagram and Tumblr. At Instagram you can take a peek

Blizzard of 2013
Located in New Hampshire, a good portion of this past weekend was consumed by Winter Storm Nemo. With heavy snow falling late Friday afternoon, my husband, teenagers, and I were home with no plans to go outside. From late Friday afternoon until midday Saturday, the snow fell heavily and the wind howled, but we emerged unscathed. We were fortunate, as we never lost power, satellite, or internet. Although our yard had about two feet of snow, with drifts up to four or five feet, inside our house was snug.

February Highlights
February tends to confuse my sense of time. I'm not really sure why that is, as it is only two days shorter than four other months. However, those two days seem to make a big difference. Case in point: on Friday, my husband and I were discussing events in February and realized that we needed to start planning and scheduling immediately. On January first, I don't think we would have been feeling as rushed.

Make Your Own Holiday
It's nearing the end of January, the temperatures are low on the thermometer, and the sun still sets before dinnertime. The excitement of the holidays, be it Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, or what have you, is over. Valentine's is still more than two weeks away, and that's only thrilling if you have a special someone to share the day. Thus, for many, the blahs of winter are descending.
However, it doesn't have to be that way. There are an assortment of ways to turn this colder, darker time of year into something more festive. Sunset is still early?Â
